Abdullah Sweets in Jackson Heights is my go-to spot for take-home comfort food and sweets. Wherever I am in the neighborhood, I make sure to stop by for rasgullas, shingara, beef tehari, and roasted eggplant — all flavorful and delicious. The food genuinely reminds me of my childhood in Agartala, bringing back familiar tastes and memories. A wonderful place for authentic Bengali flavors. Highly recommended!
Fresh Rasogulla made everyday. not too sweet. Like in Kolkata. The kala jamun, chumchum and dry jamun were some of the best i have eaten recently. they sweet and kids loved them. Must visit for bengali sweet lovers. They also have a take out buffet and other sweets.
I used to love Abdullah Sweets — especially for their warm roshgolla. Also had their breakfast once with paratha, beef nihari, egg, and vegetables. But my recent experience was beyond disappointing. I picked up a takeout order of beef tehari, and to my utter shock, the food was totally ROTTEN. The smell was disgusting - clearly old and poorly handled.
