Where do I even begin? I kept seeing mukbang videos on TikTok of people trying fufu and egusi, and somehow I started craving something I had never even tasted before. I searched for places near me and decided to give this spot a try. I’m so glad I did—the food tasted exactly like what those videos showed: rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Abbey was also incredibly welcoming, walked me through the dishes she had to offer, and really made me feel at home. I’ll definitely be coming back to
I came across this small halal food spot on Richmond Terrace. They serve African food! It was my first time the cuisine and it was deliciously spicy. I recommend trying the jerk chicken and spicy rice. I wish they had more food options but, maybe it was earlier in the day and not much was made yet. I would definitely come here again and try other dishes.
We saw the reviews online so knew we had to stop by when we came over on the Staten Island Ferry. We had the chicken and chicken & spinach, both with spicy rice. This is hands down the best meal we have had so far in New York. Absolutely delicious, you must visit!
