Walk by here all the time, finally went in to pick up lunch. 1/2 chicken lunch plate I picked up was amazing. Chicken perfectly seasoned and juicy, salad fresh and rice fluffy and delicious. I want to dine in next time. The place looks like a mom and pop shop, it looks like the deco evolved with time, not stamped out like chain restaurants. Love all the plants.
since moving to forest hills, i’ve been relatively unimpressed with the food / dining options in the neighborhood until eating here. we got the pollo a la brasa combo with rice, beans, plantains, salchipapas and it was the first meal that really made me excited! the food was delicious and well priced. this restaurant is also run by an adorable couple and the wife does the cooking in the back. definitely recommend to anyone considering - we will be back!
Definitely a hidden gem. Nestled all the way at the end of Austin Street, a must try for those who enjoy Peruvian food. Food was excellent, price was not high whatsoever for the quality of food. My party and I started with the beef empanadas and I have to say they were the best empanadas I’ve ever had. The puff pastry was the perfect texture and the filling was just delicious.
