I'm Malaysian and let me tell you that this is home to the BEST nasi lemak in the city. The sambal is 12/10 sedap (delicious). Everything on the menu we tried was a banger. Can't wait to come back. Note that the space is a little tight, so plan accordingly. The family that runs this place are lovely.
Very well designed halal family business with great food and service. The space and the menu design are beautiful. I got the nasi lemak which was very tasty. Prices are reasonable. Maybe because I was fasting all day but portions seemed small, more appropriate for lunch. But not too little for what they’re charging. I’d happily pay a bit more for a bigger serving for dinner. Will definitely come back.
AYAM is honestly one of the worst excuses for a restaurant I’ve ever walked into. The food wasn’t just inauthentic — it tasted like someone Googled “Malaysian food” and tried to freestyle the rest. I have no idea how this place has a 4.9 rating, but that number is living on borrowed time. Once people actually try the food, it’s going to fall fast.
