I had a good meal at Brooklyn Diner in LaGuardia, but I noticed something odd. Several customers wanted to choose their own seats, window views to watch the planes, booths, or tables, but staff strictly assigned seats based on server rotation. It created confusion as people were redirected from their preferred spots. The system seemed more rigid than it needed to be, though my own meal went smoothly.
Below is the example of a $12 shake. Its smaller than a bottle of water. We sat down and waited 30 minutes for it. And then another 20 minutes for my bowl of chili ($18) to finally flag a waitress and ask where it was - oh we are out of chili, sorry. So one hour wasted for a overpriced $15 shake with taxes and tip. What a rip off
*GO SOMEWHERE ELSE… SERIOUSLY* My wife and I were flying on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant didn’t seem overly busy. They were not even half seated. The host never greeted us. She yelled from across the restaurant and pointed at a table for us to sit at. Which alone I’m not super bothered by. It’s a QR “scan to order & pay” so no server ever came to the table.
