Food is pretty good, I’ve ordered previously from the Crown Heights location. The Suya bowl is a nice rendition of Nigerian Suya, but it’s not exactly authentic. It’s mostly sliced chunks of tough steak that wasn’t properly tenderized with a lot of hot pepper spice to match. The kale and broccoli salad was good. Walked into this spot by chance with two friends with no expectations but the steak bowl was soo good. The peanut aioli and spicy mix was amazing. I’ve had rice and meat bowls before but this might be one of the best I’ve had. Main guy at the register was real kind too. It takes a bit longer to make than other bowl spots but definitely better quality and flavor.
Saw this new addition to the neighborhood and tried it out - very glad I did so. This was my first Nigerian food experience and it didn’t disappoint, got the steak bowl over half and half rice and kale with plantain and avocado with the peanut aioli and the spice turned all the way up. So flavorful, so fresh. The rice kind of reminds me of dirty rice, the spice blend generously sprinkled atop is maddeningly good, and the peanut aioli adds a richness and umami to the dish. Will def be back soon.
