Casual stop for Guyanese-Chinese fare including fried rice, jerk chicken, pastries, and bread.
From Google Maps reviews.
Disappointing experience at best. The food was burnt, lacking flavor and texture. The menu promises one thing, but the kitchen delivers another. Overpriced for the quality received. This is what a Jerk Chicken House Special Fried Rice Looks Like.
I ordered and literally a few seconds later they gave me the chicken fried rice. I was given cold, stale food. Looks like they just warmed it up in the microwave and gave it to me. First and last time. Will go elsewhere and get more for what I paid for here. NOT WORTH IT ! Wish I had read the reviews before I went. Is the owner reading these reviews or he simply doesn’t care? DO BETTER !
Even though the woman who answers the phone can be a bit rude and they only accept cash, this spot still serves my favorite jerk chicken and jerk chicken fried rice on Liberty Ave. I do wish they offered dine-in seating and accepted cards or at least had an ATM on-site for convenience. That said, the food keeps me coming back. The jerk chicken is moist and perfectly seasoned, and the fried rice is just as flavorful. Despite the drawbacks, the quality of the food really stands out.
