8/10 times when I am deciding where to eat on Franklin Avenue, I pick Chavevla’s! I have been coming here for years. It is one of the most consistent restaurants on Franklin. Their service and food is always top notch. My favorite drink is the La Diabla, adding sugar on the rim. The margarita and sangria mixed drink is also really good. The Camarones al Ajillo is my favorite appetizer. The Sopa Azteca is really good. My favorite main dish is the fajitas Mixtas! Everything is good. Their holiday
Good friends of mine have been recommending Chavela’s for a while, so I was glad I finally had the opportunity to try it — and it definitely lived up to the hype. I found this place on Google looking for a Mexican restaurant with vegetarian options with a high rating. I was excited that it was so close to The Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It was everything that I hoped for! We were greeted by very lovely and professional hosts that sat us immediately. I am sure we were just lucky with timing because it filled up quickly afterwards.
