North-Thailand-inspired fare (curries, noodles, fried rice), served in a relaxed, candlelit, lantern-lit space with a dog-friendly patio.

The best Northern Thai food in Brooklyn. Everything is so tasty and the ambiance is quite nice. Especially the outdoor seating in the summer. The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. They have a bunch of amazing gluten free options including Pad Thai, Fried Rice, steak, seafood, all the curries (some of the best massaman curry in the world!), and even coconut custard for dessert. What a treat. I always return here when in the area.
I come here often after work. The food is great. Desserts could be better, but we’ll let that pass. I wish they would take advantage of the whole place, as I’m always sat in one of the tables by the entrance. Each time I try to get the booth, it feels like I’m asking them to do my taxes as they rush to push me to one of those tables by the entrance. But it’s okay. I enjoy the food, so all is forgiven…
Chiangmai Diner & Bar offers a well-executed take on Thai cuisine. The curry puffs were a standout golden and flaky, filled with tender potato and a bit of cheese, making them rich and comforting without being heavy. Curry puff
