«On March 8th, we went for a walk, and at Chosen Garden restaurant, I ordered a dessert. After dinner, I started feeling very nauseous; I got food poisoning. I found out that they do not make the cake themselves; they buy it, and it’s unclear when it was purchased. Although it looked normal, it was not fresh inside. I do not recommend this restaurant anymore.»
Love having this kosher Asian food option in Queens. Food is tasty and portions are very large. They have a good prefixed meal option for around $30 bucks (includes soup, egg roll, entree and dessert). Service was slow but understandable since they were very busy. I loved the chicken with mixed vegetables most!
This location was once among the top spots in Queens for Chinese cuisine and remains quite good today. However, the service has declined, especially after the recent price increase. Perhaps the owners should instruct the staff that tips- whether 14% or 15%- are simply gratuities based on service quality and attention.
