A true Staten Island staple, Colonnade Diner has been serving the community for decades, and it still delivers that classic neighborhood diner experience. The booths with the built-in jukeboxes bring back a lot of nostalgia and give the place its old-school charm. It would be great to see some of them restored or updated so customers could stream music and keep that tradition alive. On St. Patrick's Day I got a craving for Corned Beef and potatoes. We went to this Diner and Had Corned Beef sliced thin like a Pastrami ( never seen that) with potatoes, cabbage and carrots. The plate was large enough for two adults that eat moderately. The burgers are awesome. The service is super super super. The seating is roomy and the dining room is open with great lighting and the temperature is never too hot or too cold. I have had a couple of bad meals here, but that hasn’t stopped me from coming back. Any diner will have its bad days or its bad meals. Parking is easy.
