Walked in as someone who hadn’t tried Dominican food before. I was embarrassed that I didn’t really know what I was ordering but the staff were super kind. I ended up having roasted chicken with mixed rice and beans. It was delicious and the portions are extremely generous. Will be definitely be eating here again.
I ordered the Cuban sandwich and it was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and prepared without a long wait. I also tried a chicken appetizer that was empanada-style and it was really good. A partner of mine ordered the tres golpes, which included mashed plantains (mangú) with eggs and salami, and he absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was great, the people were very friendly, and everything was very affordable. Definitely a place I’d come back to. Damajagua Restaurant
