Dog Day Afternoon didn’t win me over on the food, but the decor is pretty cool. If you’re craving a hot dog in the summer, check this spot out. The guy who was working was awesome. He was quick & friendly, and even gave me a free bag of chips. I had the Chicago dog, and all in all, it was *pretty good* Pretty standard American fare, the kind of thing you’d get at a baseball game. Great presentation, decent ingredients—but nothing spectacular. Location & decor: 5/5 Food: 3/5 Service: 5/5
Probably best hot dogs i’ve had. Been here a couple times. They’re thick and very juicy. I’ve had the chicago style, new york style , and chili dog. Their chili is spot on! Service is amazing as well. got to meet the owners Joe and Jay, very friendly and humble. A++
I live in Park Slope, but somehow I always find my way over to Dog Day in the afternoon. Let’s just call it my once-a-week guilty pleasure, because these glizzys are on a whole different level (no Diddy 😂). Their most popular one, the Chicago dog, comes fully dressed and delivers every single time. Absolutely delicious.
