Dinner with friends at DOUGH by Licastri in Silver Lake, Staten Island, highly touted for their pizza. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. I ordered their version of a Sicilian sfincione, which is one of my top 3 pizzas to order. It’s a specialty pizza, not commonly found in most pizzerias. My friends ordered regular dinner food, however, which looked fantastic - so if I go back, that’s what I’ll do. It’s a fun lively atmosphere inside. The service was great.
Good Italian food is hard to find. I can finally hang up my Carmines cleats and take my business to Dough on Staten Island. Everything was delicious from appetizer to Entree. The star of the show was the chicken parm with a side of spicy vodka rigatoni. The waitress Njcole was super friendly and advising on navigating the extensive menu options. The portions were plentiful. I have lunch for tomorrow and I need a nap now.
