Great vintage vibes, average ice cream. Finding an old-school gem like this in NYC was such a pleasant surprise! The theater right in front of the shop also gives off serious "back to the past" vibes. It’s a fun, nostalgic spot to check out at least once if you're looking for a unique, touristy experienc
This place is cash only. Of course, I don’t carry cash because its totally unnecessary these days. And I’m not paying a high surcharge to use their silly ATM machine. Those machines are just another source of revenue for them, but it’s also a penalty on us for not bringing cash. It even has a sign that says “No Receipt”. The menu is good, the ice cream is delicious, and I love these kind of places. But there are plenty of other ice cream places nearby that take modern forms of payment.
First time at Eddie’s. What an adorable blast from the past. We were able to sit at the counter and watch the servers in action, scooping ice cream and topping it off with pillowy mounds of whipped cream. We ordered vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream with hot fudge and walnuts. We paid $21 for both. Don't forget to bring cash!
