I've lived in the area for years and rarely come here anymore. In my experience, the food is either completely bland or overwhelmingly salty, there doesn't seem to be any middle ground. The one time I recently gave it another chance, I was sick and stopped in for soup. Unfortunately, it tasted like nothing more than salty water and was extremely disappointing. The service is an even bigger issue. On one visit, a staff member caught an attitude with me when I ordered in English instead of Spanis
I got a red snapper from here, at first I wanted it grilled but because of miscommunication it was deep fried, I was weary at first thinking the oil from the deep fryer dried out the fish, but It was amazing nicely seasoned ,juicy, very meaty and it wasn't fried hard.. I would definitely recommend the red snapper, i cant forget to mention it's nice size for your buck 😀 😉 👍
This is my go to spot for Dominican food in the bronx not a fancy place but the food is delicious, good vibe, music and service the best time to get mostly everything fresh is like after 4pm
