Nonna Italian and Argentina Restaurant was such a warm, inviting place to spend the evening. The service was attentive, welcoming, and made the whole experience feel relaxed and special. You can tell the cooks truly know their craft. Bien hecho. I am usually very hesitant when trying Italian restaurants in Queens. I do not think I have been to many where I walked away truly very happy with the food. That being said, this place, as one reviewer put it, is quite a gem. We came here for a rainy Sunday lunch, so getting a table was not very difficult. The food was amazing and really good portions. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the fact that we had to wait 1 hour for our table. My friend made a reservation for 8 but when she called the r/s she was told to show up at 7 cause “they were going to have availability then”, all 4 of us showed at 7 of course just for them to say that they couldn’t seat us cause our reservation was at 8.
