Great experience at Gyu-Kaku LIC! The meats were fresh, flavorful, and fun to grill at the table. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly. The atmosphere is lively yet comfortable, perfect for a night out with friends or family. Will definitely be back!
Stopped by shortly after their opening and really enjoyed the experience. Having been to Gyu-Kaku locations in Flushing, Cooper Square, and even Osaka, I can say this one definitely holds up. The food was spot on and the vibe was great. The Chigae soup and wontons remain our all-time favorites. A huge shoutout to the staff—they were incredibly welcoming, and Elley, in particular, did a fantastic job. We’ll definitely be back!
I’ve been to many Gyu-Kaku locations both in and outside of NYC, but this was by far the worst one. I now understand why it wasn’t busy, even in such a highly Asian neighborhood. All the meats were tough, extremely thin, old, and had a strange texture, like they’d been frozen for too long and thawed too quickly. Out of the nine or so types of meat we ordered, maybe one or two were edible; the rest were just bad. The service could’ve been ok, but the server who brought our meats (different from
