We had an incredible time at the Hana Makgeolli x Jilli popup and I’m still thinking about it! The yakju was exceptionally clean and smooth. I was also very impressed with Hana Soju 20 and 60. Although the alcohol content was high, it went down so smooth and was easy to drink. Let’s just say they came home with me cuz they were so good😂 If you like sweeter taste, Sagwaju (fermented with apple) is a must try. If you want something authentic and new, try MAQ8 Silkysonic and the MAQ8 Bubblocitea!
A brewery producing authentic Korean makgeolli in New York offers a truly special experience in Brooklyn. You can really feel the care, thoughtfulness, and craftsmanship put into every single makgeolli they make. The food pairings alongside the makgeolli were absolutely fantastic as well. I highly recommend ordering a variety of dishes to enjoy with the drinks!
The only makgeolli tasting that I know of. Delicious and the presentation and experience were amazing. Great interior design making the lofty space bright and airy. Their canned makgeolli was surprisingly very good. I can’t wait for their slushy like ones in the future.
