We had walked into this place accidentally because the restaurant we wanted to go had closed down. There wasn’t any wait for a group of 8 people on Friday night. The service and the atmosphere with live music were great, although a bit loud for a restaurant. The food was average overall, not bad at all but nothing noteworthy or worth going back for. Himalayan Yak in Jackson Heights was an incredible experience. The live show was the highlight, and the fact that they’re open late is a huge plus. Everything we ate was delicious — the chicken chow mein was my favorite, and the pani puri, chicken lollipop, chicken sekuwa, and drinks were all excellent. Really nice ambience. There was live music which was very engaging. The food was good too. However, we ordered a second serving of the fried dumplings which wasn’t good at all. They also charged us an 18% gratuity without even mentioning it to us anywhere. We were a party of four people.
