J&R is my family's favorite go-to pizza joint in our neighborhood. It's the best between Kings Highway and Ave U and can compete with others nearby. Note this is not your premium upscale gourmet pizza joint but rather 'less' but not no-frills place for comfort food at comfort prices. I used to live in Brooklyn. As a kid, after school, I'd walk with my grandmother every day to this particular pizza place, because both of our apartments were close by. I moved to Staten Island a few years later, and I long for the distinct pizza here... I can totally recommend you this, I think it is the best in NYC. Good prices, too.
