I had such an amazing experience here. I was very surprised because I honestly did not expect it. We had the empanada de verde... they were so good, and also the parrillada. Honestly, I'm not a big meat eater at South American restaurants, not counting Argentinian or Uruguyan cuisine, because in my experience the meat is always over cooked and dry, however that parrillada was sooo delicious and big enough for two (it didn't look that big at first sight). Ceviche- Casuela - Seco de Chivo and bandeja Ecuatoriana were amazing! It’s a small restaurant with plenty of windows. In my opinion, the service was better than in other Ecuadorian restaurants nearby. The atmosphere was fair, but I was expecting to see more appealing features, such as paintings or attractive symbols. They mentioned that the city requested removed them. Overall 5 ⭐ I will come back again
The humita was really good. Tortilla de verde, acceptable. Muchines are not too bad, but not delicious. My daughter had a cazuela mixta that was salty, but I have to say the shrimp and fish in it were good. I had a bandera, with encebollado and guatita, which were definitely better than Barzola. Seco de chivo was good. I would give a 7 out of 10. Maybe if I'm around and want to stop to eat something, I would. But drive again for 40 minutes to get there, and go around for half an hour looking
