Little Banchan Shop is such a cute spot in LIC with a very modern Korean market/eatery feel. The interior is super aesthetically done with warm wood details, clean shelving, and a really calm atmosphere !! They have a huge variety of premade banchan, sauces, drinks, snacks, and prepared foods that all looked fresh and authentic. I visited later in the day so I didn’t try the prepared meals since I wasn’t sure how long they had been out, but everything visually looked great. The backyard garden
my first Michelin star rated kitchen and I gotta say pretty good. It seems like they have a really big emphasis on quality using organic and locally source ingredients which is something that I could appreciate the prices are a little up there, but with the Michelin star kitchen, and in comparison to all the other restaurants in this neighborhood, it’s actually not that bad and the food itself was pretty good. They have a variety of products and it’s definitely worth checking out.
Delicious Korean banchan and dishes like jjajangmyeon, jjampong, soondubu jjigae. You can pick something from the refrigerator and they’ll heat it up so you can eat it there with rice and tea. I really wish they had bowls rather than takeout containers for eating there, but I guess it’s convenient if you have leftovers. Prices are a bit high. For instance, the kimchi jjigae at Tosokchon is $19 and is heartier, comes with rice and banchan. Here, it is $19.50 plus $2.75 for rice.
