I was excited to try this Korean Spicy Garlic Fried Chicken, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations. Visually, the chicken looked appealing at first glance. The glossy sauce, sesame seeds, and scallions gave it the appearance of authentic Korean fried chicken. However, the flavor and texture told a different story. The biggest disappointment was the chicken itself. It tasted like frozen, pre-cooked fried chicken that had simply been reheated and tossed in sauce rather than freshly
Tried Lucky Chix and the sandwich was really good. The chicken was super crispy—like extra crunchy because of the cornflake coating, which made a big difference. But inside it was still really juicy, not dry at all. The spice was nice too. It doesn’t hit you right away, but after a few bites you start to feel it more and more. It’s a good kind of heat, not too much, just builds up slowly. Also liked the daikon in there—it added a fresh, slightly tangy crunch that cut through the fried chicken
First time ordering so I asked the cashier if I should do the hot and sweet or garlic soy. She recommended the hot and sweet. She didn’t steer me wrong. Beautifully crispy, delightfully flavorful. It was sweet on the front end then quickly felt the kick. See ya tomorrow to try soy garlic! Jk (or am I?) (My picture shows a bit of condensation because I walked a long way before I got back home but it did NOT lessen the crunch)
