As we were walking around the Upper East Side, we saw some people carrying Mia’s Brooklyn shopping bags. We were curious to know if the food was any good, so we stopped by the shop a little while later. The Upper East Side location is diagonally across from Milano Market(Italian Deli) on Third Avenue. We heard their chocolate blackout cake was famous, so we bought one that we love chocolate cake. The blackout cake didn’t look particularly impressive, and the taste was just average.
Visited the Times Square location of Mia's Brooklyn Bakery. The shop itself is quite small and feels more like a pickup counter than a full bakery. The display looks nice and the desserts look very appealing. We tried the Napoleon. Unfortunately, it didn’t taste fresh. We actually came right when the shop opened, but the pastry layers were already a bit dry, and even the cream filling felt slightly dry as well. The reason why I gave two stars is because on Sarturday 12/20 my siblings purchased three slides of cake for $25. It was a promotion the bakery had. The slides of cake looked good and were big. My siblings wanted to shared that with my parents who live in Maryland.We drove back to MD to see them and share with them some pastries we brought with us. One whole slide was bad it had moho. It seemed like the slide of cakes were no fresh and who knows how long they have been sitting in the cake displa
