This is my first time entering this Regal Cinemas location with my family in Forest Hills, Queens, NY. It's not far from my grandmother's apartment in Corona, Queens, NY. The movie my big brother and I first saw on our first visit there today was "THE SHEEP DETECTIVES" (2026), and it was funny and enjoyable.
I had a mixed experience here. I pre-ordered a large popcorn and drink, but when I went to pick them up, I saw the staff pouring popcorn from a large bag into the machine instead of it being freshly made, which was disappointing. The popcorn ended up tasting pretty stale. There was also an issue with the drinks, they didn’t have fountain sodas available. I was told to grab something from the fridge, with limited options like flavored bubbly, Pure Leaf tea, or Gatorade. I had already paid about $
Seems like a perfectly decent theater until you happen to see a screening in Auditorium 2. The sound mixing is bad in there. Saw a movie there in March and told an employee, who I guess couldn't tell what the problem was. Then wrote a comment to Regal corporate asking for them to get it fixed, and all that rep did was say sorry he can't give me a refund since I stayed for the movie -- yeah, I was asking someone to fix the sound, not give me a refund!
