I HATE to do this but I have to stay true to my honest ways of food review... The food was bad...very bad. I'll say the best came in the beginning and the end. Miso soup was 100% amazing. Not salty nor bland. The matcha cheese cake was very good too...however, I didn't go there for the soup and dessert. Rice on our rolls were not cooked well, the salmon was brown in color. They had a special roll costing over $20 but didn't state the ingredients so my monkey self was curious and order it. Cons
Great food and very friendly service, especially during Game 5 of the Knicks game, but then things went downhill when I asked for a detailed receipt, which you have to ask for since they only give you a summarized receipt. They showed me the bill on their POS system, and the tip portal on their device, but they never told me a 20% gratuity charge was already added since we were a party of 5 people. And I added a 20% tip without knowing. I understand that a big group would incur a gratuity fee
This place was great. The food was top notch and service even better. Sat down and our table was rocking a bit, without even asking the staff came over and fixed it. Service was pretty quick. Will definitely come back and eat here. Only complaint I have is the tip options on the charge machine were 18%, 22%, and 25%. There should be the standard 20% option imo. Pretty small issue but I wanted to mention it.
