For an authentic sushi experience, Nori is among the top places to go on Staten Island, in the same way that one might go to Jade Island for Chinese food. Though the restaurant has a little bit of a takeout feel, it also has the feel of a genuine sushi place in Tokyo, where I’ve been many times. My Mom & I went there for Mothers Day 2026! Absolutely fabulous experience, as usual! The service is amazing, the sushi is so fresh and we ordered the shrimp fried rice but with jumbo shrimps! You have never eaten rice that tasted like this! Beautifully cooked and seasoned! Impeccable service & food!
Quality really depends what day of the week you order, sometimes the food isn't amazing, but other times you get what you pay for and then some. Would recommend. Edit: My last experience with them was not great, the quality of their sashimi was awful, to the point where it was essentially inedible. Changing my review from 5 to 2 stars based on this experience.
