We’ve visited several times, making the trip from Manhattan to Greenpoint, and it’s always been worth it. Their coffee is excellent—rich, with subtle chocolate notes that really stand out. In my short trip to Brooklyn, I received the warmest service here! The barista working the closing shift on April 7th was incredible. They helped me pick out some beans with a few tastings and I was able to find a bag that was perfect. Big big kudos for them!! The pain au chocolate here is absolutely delectable. So crisp and flaky yet perfectly sweet and satiating. The pistachio pastry was also wonderful, the crispy shell scored very thinly was texturally satisfying. Coffee is also wonderful.
Space is pretty small. Pastries are good but nothing I would go out of my way for. Would come back to try their matcha croissant once it’s back on the menu. The person working was SO nice. He gave us a “sample,” but it was literally so generous - my friend and I each got half an entire pastry! - Blueberry almond danish ($8): 8/10, I liked the flavor and texture. Blueberries were fresh - Mystery sample pastry: 8/10, enjoyed the cream and whatever was on top
