Food was okay. Not too expensive, but not the most impressive either. Do Not (!!) get the beef bulgogi bowl. The beef looks appetizing and juicy in the picture- it is not! It's dry and has no flavor but an aftertaste. Tried the spicy pork and squid- that was pretty good, nice portion. The garlic chicken was crunchy and flavorful. Service was friendly tho :)
Rice Boy is adjacent to Kimganae in the food court inside Hmart LIC. By and large, they complement each other pretty well in terms of covering Korean street food, with just a few overlaps. Rice Boy is a bit more casual and at slightly lower price points. Grand-opened in May'24 with 30% discount throught Aug'24. Their signature offerings are the Cupbops, with many spins and mixes of (non-soup) Korean cuisines placed inside a paper bowl: boneless chicken, glass noodles, kimchi, bulgogi, fried du
I eat a lot of Korean food. The rice cake a.k.a. tteobokki/ddukkbokki here is terrible. It gave me an awful stomachache and I only had 3 bites. Sauce taste was very artificial and it was overall very lukewarm so I trashed it immediately. They had it precooked and kept on a food warming tray but they it def. wasn’t at the required food safety temperature of 140 degrees. Eat at your own risk!!!
