Accidentally found this Turkish restaurant while walking around Long Island City and wow! Huge portions, incredible meat, one of the best Turkish meals we’ve had in NYC! They recommended their signature dish and were so glad we listened. Safir is such a great addition to LIC. The space is modern, stylish, and really inviting without trying too hard. The food felt fresh and well-balanced — flavorful Mediterranean dishes, generous portions, and everything came out beautifully presented. The service was warm and attentive, and the overall atmosphere made it easy to stay longer than planned. Perfect spot for dinner with friends or a relaxed date night. Definitely one of the better restaurants in the area right now.
