Hole in the wall that produces the best Senegalese food Ive ever had. The lamb was incredibly tender and falling off the bone, spices were amazing and everything was well seasoned but not overpowering. The jollof rice complimented the dish well and the ginger juice was delicious and balanced out all the spices of the dish. The owner told me her mother was the chef and I absolutely believe it as it tasted like home cooking and was made with love. I have had this dish at other restaurants before,
The food here was genuinely good—well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The ambiance was also very pleasant, with a cozy and stylish vibe that made it a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal. That said, the lighting inside was quite dark, which made it a bit difficult to fully see the food and the space. A slightly brighter interior would really enhance the overall experience. It was so good that after buying two plates to go, he went back and bought two more to bring home. The service, however, deserves -5 stars. After spending around 100$ on multiple takeout orders, I was publicly scolded and embarrassed by two staff members simply for entering in the restaurant and heading to the restroom before saying hello.
