TLDR; Original Brooklyn style Chinese takeout with a little flair. The vibe in here is great, maybe a little too many things hanging from the ceiling, but otherwise the design and decor was nailed. For the order we got two drinks, which were really good- interesting flavors with Lyle pops of spice and flavor. The good here was cooked extremely well….. BUT!! The good dishes we tried: - egg roll was stellar - cold noodles were good but the noodles are pasta🤨 - shrimp and broccoli are great -
When a restaurant gets a bib gourmand from the Michelin guide yet averages only 4.3 stars on Google, you know you're in for a good time - and this did not disappoint. The ambiance is great. The egg rolls, wonton soup and eggplant general taos were to die for. The beef and broccoli didn't hit as much as I would have liked but didn't matter we were already in love. The blood orange sorbet is the icing on the cake. Well done, team.
Sal Tang’s is consistently great. It’s the perfect spot for a comfort meal. The food is always delicious, and the staff there stand out for how welcoming and attentive they are. Michelle, the GM, is amazing. This has become our go-to restaurant for celebrations because of how positive all of our experiences have been here, time and again.
