Spot Dessert Bar's Long Island City location offers a commendable selection of desserts. Please note that individual ice cream scoops are modestly sized and may not be ideal for sharing. Our experience with the golden toast found it to be somewhat firm and rather uninspired. The matcha lava cake was acceptable, though it would have benefited from being served warm to achieve optimal "lava" consistency. The matcha flavor was also quite subtle. Great desserts, great place and great service 🙏 Also, I know the Golden Toast is the best seller, but Matcha Lava Cake and the experience of pouring the chocolate in the Harvest are waaay ahead. For this time I had: Matcha Lava Cake with a Single Espresso shot to balance the flavors (the sweet of the cake with the bitter of a good pure coffee shot) Hope you get to enjoy this amazing spot! 🍰☕️
I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while and finally got the chance since I was working near the LIC location. I ordered the golden toast and it did not disappoint. It had the perfect balance of sweetness and crunch, the ice cream paired really well with it, and the strawberries added a nice little tart kick to bring everything together. Definitely glad I tried it!
