My husband had his party at Starr Bar this past Sunday, and I have to say, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. I was there early while he set up, and the staff was so helpful. Making sure the table layout was right, the lights were on point, and the bar was ready to go. Ren, the bartender that night, was incredible. She kept everything flowing smoothly and made sure everyone was taken care of with a smile. The food was SLAPPIN! The fries were fresh and the tacos were flavorful.
Best bar in Bushwick - went this weekend with friends for my birthday and it didn’t disappoint! The friendliest bartenders (there is a guy bartender who was the loveliest- didn’t get his name). Also, good drinks and good music! Will come back!
Fantastic space, where both the patrons and staff were cool, and cared about their neighbors and their community. There was a wonderful organization called Freedom Agenda there, celebrating their fifth year in existence, fighting to close Rikers Island and to end mass incarceration and the structural racism driving it.
