If you’re looking for a spot on Staten Island that actually delivers on both food and vibe, The Basement is it. Everything felt intentional. The seafood was fresh and cooked right. The salmon with the broth and clams had a lot of flavor without being heavy. The halibut over risotto was smooth and buttery with a lemon caper sauce that hit perfectly. I absolutely fell in love with this place because of the books! I am a bookworm, and I am also an author and books are the easiest way to get into my heart. The food is great and the service and atmosphere were phenomenal. I was extremely happy here..
We ordered the Brooklyn burrata it was delicious cheese with strawberries, oranges and prosciutto. We also ordered the 18 Oz ribeye steak which was perfect it was enough for two people. I am definitely coming here again
