I cannot say enough good things about our experience at the TownePlace Suites New York Long Island City/Manhattan View. Very nice hotel with a good breakfast. Kevin at the front desk was awesome—super helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We loved relaxing on the rooftop after busy days exploring the city and enjoyed the beautiful views. The hotel is located next to Queensbridge Houses, and the surrounding area felt a bit run-down, which is why I rated the location lower. However, we never felt unsafe walking to and from the 21st Street subway station during the day. We chose not to walk around the area late
