The bakery is located in the Midwood section of Brooklyn. They prepare many Italian cakes, breads, cookies and pastries. They also sell bagels and croissants. The back of the bakery had various hot and cold food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pizza, heroes, hot and cold sandwiches, cold cuts and salads are available. They have no tables for dining in. I ordered a cannoli which was fresh and tasty with chocolate chips. The rugelach are small sweet pastries that can include different fruit
The workers are very nice, the prices are reasonable. But wow, the cake I bought is dry and overcooked.
Grew up in the neighborhood but moved out of state. I always stop by Vito’s to stock up on cookies and pastries before I leave town. This is a quintessential old school Italian bakery. Joann and the team at Vito’s will welcome you in like family. You won’t regret stopping in.
