Some dishes here are more solid than others. What's good which happens to be staples from Taiwanese cuisine: - Beef Noodle Soup (solid soup base and super tender beef) - Lo Ba Beng (aka Ru Rou Fan) with fish floss on the side What's decent: - BDSM chicken sandwich only (was extremely juicy but didn't have that Taiwanese dust) What's ok: - beef stock braided tofu (too bland) - tater tots that comes with the BDSM chicken sandwich (it's just regular tater tots with a side of ketchup, no special
The dessert was definitely the highlight. I’d come back just for that. I used to come here all the time but hadn’t been in a while, and it was still as good as I remembered. The seasonal crab dish was good, and we really enjoyed the fried rice with pork jowl as well. The steak with noodles didn’t quite work for me though; the combination felt a little off. And the popcorn chicken is always a winner here!
On our forever journey on finding new places to eat here we are at a Taiwanese restaurant back in my hood... We started with the Pork Terrine(braised pork trotter, panko, scallion and Taiwanese mustard)...
