10/10 across the board. I went to Westwood Bar about a week ago with a friend and honestly? No notes. The food was amazing, like actually delish, not just “good.” The service was insanely good, everyone working there was a literal ray of sunshine, and the drinks were top-tier, done right, no misses. One of those places where the vibe, food, and staff all hit at the same time. Will 100% be back.
Service is great, definitely have a dope community vibe. DO NOT get the fish and chips though. I never waste food and wound up leaving a big chunk, they were roughhh. Mostly batter, and over fried or something, it had a deep fatty oil taste. And the side of pickles was a basic store cauliflower/carrot mix(which is fine, but felt dull. Nothing wrong with em, just spice em up with some peppercorns and thyme or something, you can elevate them easily) I've had food here before, and it's been great.
Popped in for an evening snack and cocktail on a warm spring evening. Excellent mojito made with mint from the bartender’s garden paired with some guacamole and chips. Other than the freshly fried chips being a little oily, the food, service and lovely patio seating was a nice day to wrap up the day.
