Today is my second time coming to this place within two weeks, is like my afternoon tea and today I tried the chicken skewers and surprisingly is so tasty and it’s not oily. The spicy chicken burger is not that spicy that I thought but is still yummy and today I didn’t pay iced tea. I would like to try the raw coconut latte instead. I stopped by Zhengxin on 86th Street in Brooklyn and was pleasantly surprised. The chicken cutlets were crispy and flavorful—especially the “spicy powder” one—and the cheese-filled cutlet was rich and satisfying. The burger was solid as well. What impressed me most was their fresh lemon tea, “Ning Meng Meng” — bright, refreshing, and not overly sweet. A simple spot, but everything tasted genuinely good.
The food is pretty good, the Chinese styled fried chicken is yummy, crispy, always made super fresh. I recommend the popcorn chicken too because the five spice flavor is great! My only complaint is that the store takes quite a while to make your food and seems pretty understaffed. Only one guy to take orders, prep drinks, deal with delivery drivers, and bag up food.
