The fare offered ranges from simple to more elegant, and the service is excellent. While reservations are recommended, we walked in and were promptly seated.

Situated right after the entrance, this little but spacious cafeteria has just what you need to refresh or refuel on a day at the garden. They have a pizza oven, hot Cuban sandwiches and lattes. There is seething in the dining room, and in the back tent. You can also stop in to grab a drink on the way to the conservatory. Just don’t bring it inside.

I spent nearly the entire day there and saw almost the entirety of it - had the hurry at the end. Animals from nearly all parts of the globe. I recommend the SE entrance where you first see a waterfall and then the historic zoo buildings.
