As a lifelong New Yorker and 20+ year resident of the neighborhood, I've been delighted to see the massive influx of authentic regional Chinese food in this city over the past 10-15 years, and I've been allll over that scene. This is decidedly not that. But if you're looking for a solid, greasy spoon Americanized-Chinese joint that's remained remarkably consistent over multiple decades, this is the spot.
