This is genuinely one of the top 5 cafe experiences in NYC. Music is excellent and not too loud, aesthetic is BEYOND well crafted, and you can stay even without playing backgammon (just no laptops). I had an incredible time here! I loved the matcha latte — super rich and not sweet at all. I also loved the prosecco.
Really disappointing. The cardamom iced latte only tasted like milk and the barista was not friendly and didn’t acknowledge me when I said thank you twice, so I decided not to tip. After I didn’t tip on my $9.80 coffee she was even ruder.
Overall rating: 4.5 So I went in the summer which I believe was the first few weeks after it opened. I hope it got better, but they didn’t even have an instructional pamphlet. It was more of a store that sold backgammon boards that happened to sell coffee. The staff was so nice and so friendly, but I had to google how to play after paying $20/ 2 hr to rent a board.
