Akimori UES offers a unique Japanese omakase experience. The sushi is of the highest quality, with exceptional flavor and texture. Seating is limited, so be sure to make a reservation. There’s a bar and several seats in the back. They also have a location in Flatbush, Brooklyn. The chef is kind and very smooth with his techniques, making the dining experience truly memorable.
The quality of the omakase here is absolutely fantastic. I enjoyed every piece, and Chef Richard was amazing. The service was great, and the atmosphere felt elevated as well.
Tldr: dine their and don't order delivery, they can't get their orders right. I keep kosher, so this place is a regular for me as an UES resident. Going there for omakase is a pretty good experience, perfect for a date night if u don't mind being shoulder to shoulder with strangers (though that's just the nature of omakase). The food is great, chef's clearly are pros. The fish is fresh, not as fresh as KOMA but who wants to make the trip to brooklyn.. Overall, dining there is a pleasant experie
