Akura has been our go-to sushi spot ever since they opened. The fish is always incredibly fresh, and and the pieces are chunky! The staff is very warm and welcoming, and we’re often treated to a little complimentary something. My husband has basically tried every poke bowl with his top pick being the spicy lava bowl. I’m loyal to the salmon avocado and tuna mango avocado maki🫡 Honestly, we’ve never ordered anything here that didn’t hit.
Sushi was fresh and serving size was great for the price point!! Good local sushi spot. To some this may not matter, but I generally ask for extra ginger and some places tend to forget/ skimp. They did not! I also like they automatically gave a side of ponzu sauce. Friendly staff and fast service. I got a salmon avocado roll, scallion yellowtail hand roll, and Naruto sashimi roll!
Came here and ordered Karaage, Akura ramen, and some sushi (a salmon roe, a sweet shrimp, and a scallop). The karaage was nice and juicy. It was more of a soft crunch. It doesn’t have strong seasonings so the spicy mayo really helped. The Akura ramen was okay. I expected the broth to be thicker and more flavorful. To my surprise it came with a whole marinated egg. The charsu was nice and charred. The whole ramen was just not memorable. The sushi was pretty good. I was hoping that the scallop
