After a long trip around the UK, the first thing I was craving was a classic NYC slice, and Amore Pizzeria delivered exactly that. There's a reason they've been around for over 50 years! The pizza is everything great New York pizza should be—thin, crispy (with that perfect crack in the crust that true NYC pizza lovers know and appreciate), perfectly foldable, and topped with quality mozz. I’ve tried different pizza spots throughout NY and CT and this is the best pizza by far. The moment you take a bite you taste the perfection of the cheese, the sauce, and the dough — it has the right amount of ingredients! Hard to get satisfied with one slice, I have to get at least two.
$9 for a pepperoni slice and a Sicilian. Other reviews mention something similar- the quality of this place is generally inconsistent and the portion size has gone down over time. Got a slice and it was soggy enough to collapse before folding. The Sicilian tasted bland and could have been mistaken for something store bought frozen. I’d skip this this spot.
