Simple, old-school spot known for its New York-style bagels and cream cheese spreads.

genuinely the best bagel in astoria however dealing w the owner makes this spot somewhere i rarely go. have never met a more miserable person in my life nor have i interacted with someone so determined to ensure her customers have a terrible experience. the shop always looks closed as well as the lights are only ever half on. i can’t say i’d recommend dealing with her attitude and i’m certain she’s lost MANY patrons this way, but the bagels truly are great and the best in the neighborbood. cash
I didnt feel like getting bk bagels today and Im glad I tried this place out. The place is calm, clean and ample. These bagels are very fresh, worth the walk from 30th ave, soft inside and crunchy outside. My coffee was lukewarm but they were prompt to heat it up. Coffee is like a medium dark roast- just right, I always get it without sugar. My guests said service looked distracted but it could be because it was 2pm on a sunday and working service is tiring specially if there since early hours.
Be busy, but not to that extent when ur quality and service is compromised. Today i stood in a long queue to get a bagel. I have never tried a bagel previously as i am from a different country where we do not eat bagels. So i first had a look in their google page to have an idea of what do they sell and made up my mind to get a bagel with lox, cream cheese and capers. I went there and ordered accordingly. But when i got home and opened it...i found a bagel with just cream cheese and capers, no l
