Ba Xuyên isn’t my #1 banh mi (probably top 5) but I think it has my favorite bread—crispy without destroying your mouth and soft inside. I ordered the #1 combination for $8. They go heavy on the cilantro which I like, but light on the pâté which I don’t. Check out the variety of Vietnamese treats for sale and don't forget to ask for your sandwich spicy.
The banh mi sandwiches are very good and reasonably priced! My boyfriend and I both got the #1 with spicy for $8 each as of March 2026. Theres a few tables in the spot as well but mainly people take their food to-go. They also have lunch specials, serve breakfast items and also have drinks as well. We visit here often and leave happy everytime. Will definitely recommend! Make sure to bring cash as it’s cash only!
We were craving banh mi during our trip to NYC, and read this is one of the best spots in the city (that's still somewhat affordable). We got the no. 1 and no. 8. Taste-wise, both flavours were delicious. They tasted very similar to Vancouver-style banh mi, which we are used to. Remember to bring cash as the place is cash only.
