I’m really disappointed! I usually go to banh mi Saigon on Grand street but decided to give this place a try. Saw a few videos on Instagram of people saying their bread is freshly baked, light and crispy so I wanted to see if fresher bread was noticeably better. I ordered two of their #1 sandwiches which is their banh mi special but for “tomorrow” so they didn’t add the pickled veggies in. They only gave me ONE bag of pickled vegetables for two sandwiches. The staff was really nice and friendly. They make banh mi in house so it’s really fresh and crispy! I’m happy that they cut the banh mi in half for me. The pate and all other topping come well together. The location is a little bit small and there’s like 5 chairs to sit but there’s AC so great for the summer.
Great counter service in a small shop. The claim to fame is the fresh made bread, and the bread is very good. It is light and airy through every bite. I ordered a #3 and the sandwich overall was good, but I do think that the pickled veggies lacked some of the punch I’m used to, that’s probably a volume thing though - they probably go through so much of it daily.
